Background:

The Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) is the hub for Coast Guard aviation logistical support. ALC provides support through depot-level maintenance, engineering, supply, procurement, information services, and acquisition project execution; sustaining and maintaining the airworthiness of the fleet.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance: NACI/SSBI

Roles & Responsibilities:

Providing leadership support within the Medium Range Recovery (MRR) Division on-site, the MH-60T Project Manager:

  • Provides direct comprehensive technical and Integrated Logistical Support for 45 MH-60 aircraft at 9 USCG units.
  • Supports management of Service Life Extension Program (SLEP), capability upgrades & conversion of USN SH-60s
  • Supports management in operations of depot repair facility
  • Supports administration of multi-million budget, including parts inventory and integration/ execution for multi-year projects
  • Develops project labor budgets, technical, scientific and support staff manning requirements, monitor technical progress, monitor project budget status, and develop project plans
  • Develops and conducts complex qualitative and quantitative studies, research and analysis to evaluate, integrate or improve program/project productivity.
  • Identifies and develops methods, plans, and documentation to streamline operating procedures, reports and systems to improve operations, achieve savings, and encourage long range planning to assure the program/project produce results in a cost-effective manner.

Required Education, Skills and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 15 years’ experience in Project Management or 10 years’ experience in Project Management

And working knowledge in at least four (4) of the following areas:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Statistics
  • Operations Research
  • Program Management
  • Systems Engineering
  • Constraint/Queuing Theory
  • Mathematical Simulation Models
  • Lean/Six Sigma
  • Business Analysis
  • Spares Optimization

And

  • Professional communication skills

Highly Desired Experience

  • At least 10 years experience in Coast Guard (CG) procedures is highly desired to include CG aeronautical practices as defined in Commandant Instruction Manual CIM 13020.1 (series) utilizing the Asset Computerized Maintenance System (ACMS), Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS) and Asset Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS).
  • Experience in tools such as Primavera, V-Metric (initial sparing software tool) and Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle software suite of business and logistical database and management software) and two years of Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) software experience preferred.
  • PMP tools and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
