The Finance Reporting Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to provide regulatory analysis and reporting in coordination with the Finance team. Additionally, the Finance Reporting Senior Group Manager develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for financial reporting and analysis. The objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a quality assurance process to oversee the quantitative and qualitative issues affecting the Y-14 Schedules and for developing a comprehensive reporting process to aggregate results for the Head of Y-14 Reporting Oversight and the Head of Corporate and Regulatory Reporting. More specifically, the Head of Y-14 Analytics and Reporting will be responsible for:
- Reviewing data quality metrics and working with the work stream leads evaluating potential reporting implications
- Assessing and reviewing quantitative and qualitative issues impacting the Y-14 Schedules
- Determining IMRs affecting Y-14 Schedules
- Ensuring Y-14 Schedule owners have current documentation on how schedules are prepared and controlled.
- Performing due diligence on attestations gathered in support of Y-14 Schedules
- Preparing a pre-issuance Y-14 reporting pack highlighting issues identified and conclusions reached from in-depth process reviews
The Head of the Y-14 Analytics and Reporting will ultimately be responsible for developing the responsibilities listed above and building a team of 4 professionals, while working closely with numerous key stakeholders throughout the organization, including Regulatory Reporting (particularly the centralized Regulatory Reporting Interpretive Office), Y-14 Schedule Owners, regulators, and senior business leaders.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven track record in developing and managing very complex and dynamic reporting functions in a high profile environment
- Deep experience with regulatory, finance and/or risk management reporting (such as Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, and/or Financial Planning & Analysis)
- Experience in designing, implementing and managing newly created infrastructure support teams
- 10+ years of related work experience in Financial/Regulatory Reporting or Finance within a major global financial institution
- A strong familiarity with Citi’s Risk and Finance reporting infrastructures and platforms (e.g., Genesis, Optima, Ruby, CVA Aggregator, RegInsight), across multiple products, functions, and/or businesses (a plus).

- Able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise, succinct manner to all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
Professional skills:
- Well developed and seasoned leadership qualities, capable of building a team, formally defining roles and responsibilities within that team, and coaching/mentoring staff’s skill development
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage remote teams in low cost locations (preferred)
- Experience with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and internal senior management.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information, think strategically and tactically, and make well-reasoned decisions with appropriate engagement from key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, and escalate, voice concerns or raise questions to your manager
- Strong attention to detail, leads by example, strong work ethic and dedication and commitment to the role.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree majoring in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
