Your day to day

This role will be the Finance Business Partner for the VP Extended Stay (600+ hotels) and IHG Army Hotels (40). Provide strong financial leadership to drive hotel performance in both revenue and profitability, and ensure sound governance and controls. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews of assigned portfolios, and partner with Operations to manage owner relations for key hotels and hotel portfolios. Lead a direct team of six that supports field based Operations teams for both managed & franchise hotels.


Responsibilities

  • Drive operational performance in the Extended Stay and IHG Army estate in line with targets through strong financial leadership
  • Execute the delivery of Extended Stay and IHG Army Hotels Operations strategy through strong financial oversight, ensuring funds and resources are deployed effectively to drive required results
  • Deliver hotel forecasts and budgets and monitor performance through benchmarking, performance reviews and analysis. Develop action plans in conjunction with operations leadership to maximize returns.
  • Define the delivery of IHG Army Finance strategies
  • Deliver financial analysis to shape key business decisions, investments, and strategic projects
  • Deliver sound governance and controls, ensuring SOX compliance and clean audit(s)
  • Shape and enable the delivery of Americas Finance strategy through strong functional leadership
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high performing team of Finance Business Partners
What we need from you


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance or related field required. Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance or related fields


Technical Knowledge and Experience

  • Hotel operations Finance experience, with preference for operations, food & beverage, hospitality experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving strategic change, and challenging & communicating with senior leadership in a complex matrix organization
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and influencing skills to sustain high impact relationships with key stakeholders for delivery of results
  • Ability to effectively balance delivery of short term results with stewardship of the business and sustaining longer term competitive advantage
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations and hospitality accounting
  • Ability to see connections between financial levers, anticipate unintended consequences and spot operational opportunities
  • Able to drive complex system process and cultural change
  • Strong negotiation skills
