About the Role:

Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Head of Group Marketing & Communications to join our Liberty Corner, NJ, New York City or Stamford, CT office.

The Head of Group Marketing and Communications, reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for managing the Group Marketing & Communications department. The Head of Group Marketing & Communications will be responsible for owning and driving Everest brand management, while creating, developing and executing on internal and external communication strategies for the entire organization.

This role will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to build brand awareness and thought leadership through the appropriate channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for day to day operations, including budgeting, planning and staff development
  • Develop and deliver cohesive marketing and communications plans to increase brand awareness
  • Collaborate with senior executives regionally to develop and execute brand awareness and appropriate marketing strategies
  • Manage all aspects of internal and external communications planning
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with company business objectives based on tailored set of functional expertise to achieve strategic goals focusing on profitable growth and retention
  • Develop, design, write, edit and deliver marketing communication vehicles including electronic and print collateral materials, presentation internet/intranet sites and other communication and marketing vehicles
  • Establish and leverage substantial and influential relationships with senior leadership and business clients as well as other important external marketing partners, trade organizations and industry influencers.
  • Setting current and long-term goals for internal teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • 10 plus years of experience as marketing and communications leader within a client facing business or professional services industry
  • 5 plus years of experience leading a team of communications or marketing professionals
  • Strong leader with ability to drive organizational change and execute complex projects simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills including speech writing
  • A natural relationship builder with the ability to work well with a strong network peers and partners
  • Experience leading, growing and managing teams
