The role of a Head of Logistics Sales is responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing activities of the company’s logistics business unit which includes transportation, fulfillment, customer service, and staffing services divisions. The role you’ll play is having the opportunity to positively impact thousands of customers worldwide and drive Newegg forward on a path of continued 3rd party logistics sales growth across multiple pillars.

  • Manage and oversee logistics staffing, fulfillment, customer service, and separate transportation sales and marketing divisions
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances
  • Manage all aspects of sales operations to include: 3PL account relationship building, inbound, outbound, and team communications with the operations team for successful implementation of client onboarding.
  • All aspects of recruitment and selection for the logistics sales department
  • Ensure adequate staffing, equipment and space utilization to fulfill sales goals during peak holiday weeks as well as non-peak periods.
  • Acting as a spokesperson for the organization at sales events and conferences
  • Develop detailed sales operating plan for each department and job function within logistics
  • Manage and develop the sales team to optimize productivity and promote growth.
  • Work closely with engineering department to ensure that all protocols are followed to ensure the highest possible quality for our customers.
  • Develop, implement and facilitate processes that focus on achieving measurable improvements to sales efficiency and lead generation.
  • Establish annual and qtly logistics sales departmental operating budgets and track/control spending within budget.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of sales personnel and make recommendations for hiring, termination, discipline, or additional training.
  • Maintain environmental, safety and other regulatory compliance with our customer base
  • Work with personnel to continuously improve policy, procedures, practices and training.
  • Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Global Supply Chain Sales
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business
  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in supervising a sales team with a book of spend in excess of $100MM in revenue
  • Background and experience with fixed variable, and cost plus contracting in a logistics field
  • Experience in high-volume, seasonal distribution environment with perishable product lines preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and motivational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and achieve results under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem identification and resolution for product distribution, as well as with customers and employees.
  • Proficient ability with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Demonstrated experience using warehouse management systems to manage inventory.
