This position is responsible for day to day management and supervision of the
college Facilities Maintenance department as well as planning and management of capital projects. Ensures campus buildings and grounds are clean and well maintained, all physical plants and mechanical systems are functional, and system preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner. Plans, designs, and implements all minor college renovations and supervises project construction.
Coursework in Building Trades, construction, or a related area. Experience with building and grounds maintenance practices, automated energy management systems, building codes and standards of construction. Position requires experience with hazardous waste management practices, capital outlay procedures and extensive experience with capital construction projects. Successful candidate will have knowledge of building and renovation design, reading/interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Experience with storm water discharge management programs (MS4), supervision and management of personnel , ability to manage a budget and handle administrative responsibilities as well as strong planning and organizational skills required.
Knowledge of the organization and operations of state government and
experience in an educational environment preferred.
Professional certifications in Building Trades, Capital or Project, Facilities management, or related area.
