Responsible for an integrated team vetting and bringing forward significantly impactful health related solutions which can be employed at scale across portfolio domains including life sciences, medical devices, heath information technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Conducts strategic intellectual property and impact reviews across the CC organization.
  • Fuses potential combinations of life science opportunities, medical device opportunities and health information technology solutions such that the sum of the individual solutions is significantly greater than each as a stand-alone solution.
  • Leads a team making timely decisions regarding the viability of big solution ideas along with increased inventor communication.
  • Leads a team of subject matter experts in support of traditional inventive processes including the identification of licensing opportunities.


Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field is a must and a master’s-level degree in management, economics, health care, finance, or marketing is strongly preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 15 years of experience as a business leader in a medical field inclusive of 5 years of demonstrated management experience.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare industry value chain and related business activities, including major trends/forces affecting the industry.
  • Thorough knowledge in and understanding of trends in health care and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively with teams and other senior executives.
  • Experience identifying and developing new healthcare related solutions and coordinating resources internally.
  • Experience as a collaborative team player, with a demonstrated ability to share accountability and promote transparency.
  • Understanding of intellectual property, its development and protection preferably in the healthcare and life sciences industry.


Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting, standing and walking.
  • Must be able to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.
  • Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person.
