Title: Executive Assistant to the
President

Reports to: President & CEO
Position Summary
Directly responsible for providing administrative/office assistant/secretarial support to the President.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
2. Briefs with President on an ongoing and timely basis.
3. Performs administrative/office assistant/secretarial functions for the Office of President.
4. Schedules all appointments and maintaining daily calendar.
5. Manages information flow, researching information and preparing responses to correspondence for President
signature.
6. Liaison among President, Administrative Staff and Board Committees.
7. Assists President in following up on matters resulting from meetings as requested. Prepares information for
presentation at future meetings.
8. Schedules all meetings of the President with Members of Administrative Staff, Medical Staff,
Management/Leadership and representatives from regulatory agencies and state and local government and all
others as required.
9. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of ten (10) years current business experience utilizing administrative and decision-making skills,
secretarial skills, working with senior level management and supervisory responsibility
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience at Presidential level desired

Ability to speak, writes, understand and communicate in English language
Perform multiple duties in a high volume area
Efficiently balance visitors, phone callers, and administrative duties
Ability to deal professionally and efficiently with all staff and all levels of management and external constituencies
Self-starter, self-motivated and ability to work without supervision
Flexible, organized and able to assess/set priorities
Excellent telephone manners and good communication skills
Exhibit courteous, cooperative and professional attitude at all times
Retains composure under stress
Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment
May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed
to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site
(Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
Ability to use computer for extensive periods of time
Occasional lift and or move of 15 to 20 pounds
Requires frequent movement about the department and to other departments throughout the hospital
Must be able to move about the hospital between various departments frequently throughout the day.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to respond to frequent calls
Extended working hours may be necessary
