Environmental Project Manager

Sambatek is currently seeking a Project Manager for its Environmental Department to work with a team in leading and executing environmental projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from beginning to end, including project budget, schedule, and communications with colleagues and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day guidance to project team as needed
- Lead in the planning and implementation of projects
- Collaborate with colleagues in meeting project goals and deadlines
- Defines project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Complies with and helps the enforcement of company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manages project budget and analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization
- Either lead or provide support with project proposals.
- Prepare client-billing information on assigned projects and review billing folders
- Provides on-going communication with the client related to the project.
- Establishes goals for the projects and assist with the achievement of QA/QC goals
Required Experience
- Bachelorâs Degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Biology, Botany, or a related natural science field
- Environmental Certification(s) – wetland delineations, arborist, biological, herbicide applicator, etc.
- 5-10 years of environmental science experience with technical proficiency in wetland science and an understanding of state and federal wetland regulations
- Wetland Services (Level 1 and 2 delineations, permitting), Phase I ESA, Environmental Documentation (EAW, EIS, AUAR), Biological Surveys, MN Wetland Conservation Act administration, and Natural Resource Inventories
- Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers wetland delineation manual and regional supplements of the Midwest
- Proficiency in coordinating regulatory field meetings to review delineated wetland boundaries and obtaining wetland boundary confirmations
- Comfortable working outdoors in remote locations for long periods of time in hot and/or cold climatic conditions
- Experience with GPS equipment and ArcGIS
- Strong self-motivation, strong communication skills (verbal and written), leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks on multiple projects keeping strong attention to detail
