What Will You Be Doing?

The Director, Revenue Analytics & Forecasting oversees the staff, activities and resources of the forecasting & analysis team and reports to the VP, Network and Revenue. Manages two direct reports – Sr Manager, Ancillary and Manager, Commercial Analysis. Develops and manages F9 revenue forecasting process and reports, for both ticket and ancillary revenue.


Essential Functions

  • Manage the business processes of Revenue Forecasting & Analysis to attain company revenue objectives and commercial strategies, and maintain competitive advantages, including:

    • Tracking and reporting to senior management on all aspects of revenue production
    • Developing processes and reporting around daily revenue production and progress to forecast
    • Produce concise commercial analysis to drive new Yield Management tactics and strategy
  • Lead development of new ancillary revenue streams, and build forecasting methodology to track and influence ancillary revenue production throughout booking curve.
  • Provide strategic direction/objectives to and coordinate efforts of teams in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Establish and track performance of market-level revenue strategies, with the goal of identifying and exploiting revenue opportunities in a highly competitive environment
  • Work across departmental lines, particularly with Finance to develop medium and long term business plans
  • Develop and oversee production of senior management revenue forecast reports.
  • Oversee PROS RM and/or other alternative revenue management tools.
  • Manage evaluation of team members, including skill sets, skill development and regular reviews in line with department policies.

  • Assist in the teaching/training of analysts to maximize revenue analysis and forecasting team efficiency

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue forecasting and/or revenue analysis/management preferred
  • 3 years of previous experience with day-to-day usage of a revenue management system
  • 3+ years of prior supervisory or demonstrated experience in leadership
  • Experience with the theory and practice of revenue management strategy in the U.S. competitive environment


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Access skills, general SQL knowledge
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and intuitive revenue analysis/forecasting skills
  • Able to efficiently summarize and report on company revenue production, and quickly identify revenue improvement opportunities
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of team work
