Captivateâs seeking an experienced Director of Product Management who desires an exciting career challenge, overseeing and playing a first-hand role in the development of new products that meet and exceed the needs of our Advertising & Real Estate clients. This is a highly visible, leadership role; you will manage a team of Product Managers and will collaborate closely with a talented, cross-functional team of engineers, marketers and sellers. This position is based in our Lowell, MA office.
What Youâll Do:
- Manage and communicate a product roadmap aligned with company objectives, and supported by business cases, market research, customer data and competitive analysis
- Create impactful and actionable market requirements documentation, including business cases and product requirements
- Lead, grow and motivate a relatively newly established team of Product Managers
- Translate business strategy into product strategies and vision for both advertising and non-advertising products, ensuring that the product goals and strategy do not deviate from that of the business
- Work with Sales, Marketing and other client-facing teams to gather and analyze product needs
- Analyze, determine and prioritize target customer, end-user and internal stakeholder needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build momentum and alignment, and shepherd product concepts through execution, validation and adoption
- Document, validate and prioritize product specifications within an Agile/SCRUM development environment
- Support the Product Managers by reviewing product requirements and user stories and guiding them in communicating those effectively across teams
- Maintain standards for a data-driven approach to making decisions and gain user insight using rigorous A/B tests, qualitative user studies, and quantitative market research
What You Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a technology product oriented company, including having delivered multiple, successful products with clear growth / engagement / success metrics
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment
- 2-3 years’ experience building and managing teams of Product Managers
- Experience with both advertising and non-advertising business models (i.e., subscription-based content model) preferred
- Bachelors degree or equivalent is required. An MBA or advanced degree preferred
