Job Description

Highland Healthcare & Rehab Center is a 44-bed skilled nursing facility in Highland, KS is looking for a Maintenance Manager. Prefer someone with long-term care experience, employee/supervisory relations, teamwork, and demonstrated leadership skills. We are a small community with big hearts and are looking for an individual focused on resident centered approaches and helping us create a wonderful dining experience for our residents.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs minor custodial duties; locks and unlocks doors; raises and lowers flags; performs deliveries, pick-ups, and errands; custodians, groundskeepers or utility worker with projects as requested; assists in assembling and upkeep of movable equipment and furniture; operates power blower to clean parking lots and sidewalks. General service task in maintenance and operation of the facility.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *

Knowledge of: basic maintenance procedures; operation of maintenance vehicles; common tools and their uses. Ability to: follow written and oral instructions; adhere to OSHA guidelines and structural pest control laws; perform assigned tasks without immediate supervision; keep accurate records; communicate and establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.

Education Experience:

Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required Knowledge and Abilities. An example of this would be experience in general maintenance.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

Positions in this class require frequent stooping, bending, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. Occasional exposure to substances which may present health hazards if not handled properly. This class specification is intended to indicate the basic nature of positions allocated to the class and examples of typical duties that may be assigned.
