The Director of Cost Accounting directs, plans, and provides the necessary supervision to cost accounting activities. Implement cost control procedures and provide staff supervision over cost systems and methods. Is responsible for the overall accounting and costing functions, including audit, compliance, and taxes under various laws and regulations. Prepares cost estimates of new or special products for establishing selling prices and production forecasts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or relevant field with specialization in Cost
Accounting and Analysis
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Superior computer skills
- Previous staff management experience desired
- Ability to manage a professional team to achieve a high level of quality results.
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Outstanding skills in the use of Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Team oriented
- Able to effectively work with senior management, customers and vendors.
- At times, must be willing to be âhands-onâ to accomplish the workload.
- Must have a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Must be able to work in a highly automated
environment.
