Position Description: The Director of Administration is the head of operations for the Independent Colleges and Universities for New Jersey (http://www.njcolleges.org/). Supports the president and two vice-presidents of the organization and is responsible for the bookkeeping operations. Operates as the chief administrator and maintains financial records, conducts regular bank reconciliations, and supports sound bookkeeping practices with the assistance of a contracted accounting firm. Manages payroll, taxes and benefits. Supports annual financial audit with assistance of contracted financial accounting firm Serves as the primary events coordinator for the organizations. Organizes and conducts affinity groups of campus administrators.
Requirements: Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an executive assistant role or equivalent level of responsibility. Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage 100 or similar financial bookkeeping software to fulfill financial record keeping, budgeting, and payroll responsibilities. Accounting courses or bookkeeping experience an advantage.
