Director – ERP Systems

We are seeking an ERP Systems Director with AEC or Professional Services experience to join our growing IT Operations team. This position can work out of our Windsor, CT office or our New Providence, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analytics, financial reporting and Deltek Vision is preferred.

Job Summary

The position oversees activities within the IT Practice responsible for Business Applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) support. Responsible for directing the strategic oversight of our ERP System (Deltek Vision). Works closely with Finance and Operations on the overall business process review, system development, enhancements and company improvement initiatives. In addition, partners with vendors toward the planning and assessment of current and future business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strategic vision for applications which collaborate to our ERP platform.

• Establish, implement, and evaluate, information systems policies and procedures
• Overall management and oversight of the Deltek Vision ERP system
  • System maintenance, upgrades and hot fixes
  • Partner with other IT Teams on system hardware maintenance, deployment strategies and system optimization
  • Liaison with system related vendors on contracts, licensing and other issues

• Oversee design, development and integration with outside systems related to process improvement for various stakeholders across the organization
• Oversight of the Vision Service Desk for end-user support
• Oversee development and delivery of end-user training and support
• Mergers & Acquisition
  • Conduct system and process related due diligence
  • Manage the data integration of acquired companies
  • Assist in transition activities for newly acquired companies

• Oversee development and design of custom reports and invoice templates
• Manage system security and related audits
• Manage the development and implementation of system workflows
• Assist in the data architecture, development and design of Vision SQL Data Warehouse to automate and visualize reporting and streamline report delivery

Supervisory Duties:

• Manage, lead and mentor managers and staff, along with third-party partners, as appropriate.
• Develop a team of professionals capable of providing tactical support for day to day operations.
• Administer staff performance appraisals, scheduling, time-tracking approvals and goal development.
• Empower team to lead and/or carry out the requirements gathering, design, and deployment of new information systems.
• Manage team to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Lead team to provide business analysis and consultation on overall business strategy as it relates to operations and technology. Refresh/replace solution strategies.

REQUIRED EXPEREINCE:

• ERP experience (Deltek Vision preferred)
• Business analytics and financial reporting experience
• Experience working in the AEC industry or Professional Services organizations
• Strong communication (verbal and written), analytical & problem-solving skills
• Expert research, analytical, and problem-resolution skills
• Work independently, self-directed and self-motivated
• Travel may be required up to 25%

EDUCATION/SKILLS and ABILITIES

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
