Axios Tutoring is looking to hire a Center Director for its new location in the North Hills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the day‐to‐day operations – managing tutors, students, and schedules to maximize tutoring results; overseeing the student and staff; providing optimal customer service leading to student success and high retention rates.
- Ensures that each student has an exceptional and successful experience. Tracks their progress, counsel and advises them as needed. Manages the on‐boarding and departing processes of potential, new, and renewed student enrollments.
- Focuses on making terrific first impressions to all who walk‐in or call, including keeping all parts of the center looking clean, orderly, and sharp.
- Builds relationships with students, families, and the community. Identifies opportunities for our services based on their needs and goals.
- Leads, develops, and motivates center staff through daily interaction, and leads all staffing, recruiting, training, and HR activities, including hiring tutors and coordinating ongoing training and socials.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists, school administrators, and parent/teacher organizations.
- Markets tutoring and test prep services to schools and surrounding community, manages our digital presence, and coordinates and attends community events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lives within 30-minute driving distance – Job is not remote
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Classroom teaching/tutoring experience, along with supervisory experience is HIGHLY desired
- At least 5 years progressive career growth in management, high-level administrative or related role
- Background in academic services/ education preferred
- Understand the college admissions process and local school systems is desired
- Proficient in Google applications (Google Drive, Forms, Gmail, Google Sheets, etc) and Microsoft Office

Our tutors are required to have at a minimum Master’s degree in their area of focus and 2) high degree of accountability with what we are doing with the student, how that is working and taking corrective measures when things are not quite working well.

HOURS:
There is some flexibility in the hours and can be mutually agreed upon. Ideally we will start on an hourly basis and then convert to full-time position, as long as there was a minimum of 25 hours/week. All though the center is open 6 days a week (Saturday – Monday), bulk of the hours will be on the weekdays. Some weekend hours will be expected on a monthly basis. The candidate would need to be available at least until 6pm in the evenings, but ideally until 7pm. A potential schedule may look like this:
- Monday 1pm-6pm (6 hours)
- Tuesday 1pm-7pm (6 hours)
- Wednesday 1pm-7pm (6 hours)
- Thursday 1pm-6pm (6 hours)
- Friday 10am – 2pm (4 hours)
- Saturday/Sunday 8:30am-12:30pm (4 hours) – once or twice a month
SALARY FOR THIS JOB IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
