Denver College of Nursing, 1401 19th Street, Denver, CO, in the heart of LoDo has a current opening for a Registrar. Denver College of Nursing is affiliated with Education Affiliates, a company with approximately 50 post-secondary schools nationwide, with over 20 of these locations offering nursing programs. These schools are known as Fortis College, Fortis Institute, Denver College of Nursing and St. Paul’s School of Nursing. Our programs range from practical nursing to MSN degrees.
Assistant to the President
The Assistant to the President position supports and represents the executive staff of the college, including the President and other officers of the college in all school activities. This position reports to the President of the college.
Responsibilities
Specific duties include the following:
- Assist the President and Dean with school operations, including regulatory items;
- Organize accreditation reports including exhibit organization, proofing, formatting, etc.;
- Update and maintain school catalogs, addenda, handbooks, procedure manuals, Institutional Review Board Proposals and enrollment agreements;
- Record and manage meeting minutes for staff, directors, committee, and board meetings;
- Organize program advisory committee meetings, board of trustees meetings, All-Hands meetings, and other meetings as directed;
- Assist in planning college events, and travel plans;
- Schedule hotel stays for students traveling to clinical sites;
- Maintain confidentiality of all college records and information;
- Maintain accreditation library;
- Create and maintain an annual schedule for all compliance material collection updates;
- Collect compliance materials, properly organize the information, and present the materials to faculty and staff.
- Coordinate with our service partner in matters related to accreditation and vendors as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, an upbeat and professional demeanor, and a team player attitude. Excellent time management and organizational skills are required. The candidate must be a hands-on person who is able to represent the company in a professional manner with all customers, personnel, vendors, and students. Experience with at least one of the following areas is required: compliance, research, or accreditation. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in institutional research, education, or business setting are required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Classification
The Assistant to the President is a exempt position. Work hours may vary daily and some evening hours may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
The Assistant to the President must be able to use a personal computer, and other office equipment, and work in an environment that can be fast-paced and stressful at times. This position requires physical mobility throughout the facility.
