Vice President – Regulatory Change Data Manager
The Global Regulatory Reform Front Office Implementation Team works with all Global Markets businesses and multiple Citi functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute Global Market’s response to structural regulatory reform across business lines, products and entities. The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated regulatory reform solutions in the most efficient way for Global Markets and its clients.
Regulatory change, including Dodd-Frank and Brexit, is the most significant change impacting financial markets globally. As a major US global bank, the impact on Citi is significant, resulting in this being one of the highest profile and important initiatives in Citi Markets.
The Regulatory Change Data Manager is a critical member of the Front Office Regulatory Reform Implementation Team and works on multiple projects assessing data requirements and delivering solutions that enable the project teams to succesfully complete projects.
Key responsibilities:
The role is new and responsibilities and priorities are evolving. The following are some of the specific activities expected of this role:
- Manage a team of data analysts working on a variety of regulatory-related projects
- Work with project leads to assign data analysis resources to projects / manage resourcing of data analysts on various regulatory projects / analyses
- Through planning and delivery of projects and data analysis, improve data analysis approach and functionality, provide continuity between projects, and ensure lessons learned are propagated to future projects
- Become a subject matter expert on Citi’s client, trade and documentation data structure and drive enhancements to existing dataset where required such as incorporation of exposure, notional and index data
- Deliver presentations to Regulatory Reform Implementation management
- Support and improve Regulatory Reform’s data analysis infrastructure
- As a subject matter expert, provide input to project data strategy and approach, and assist with advanced data analysis
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Experience planning and executing project-related data analyses (e.g., client impact analysis) using common data analysis tools
- Experience managing data analysis teams and project books of work
- Understanding of global markets and key global markets data elements and their relevance to the client and trade lifecycle
- Experience planning and executing data strategies for large projects
- Above experience with regulatory projects a plus
Skills and Competencies – Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of:
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills; ability to gain consensus among staff and drive initiatives to completion effectively
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment across various data providers / users
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce data strategies and documentation
- Ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues in simple, clear and concise ways to non-technical colleagues.
- Microstrategy / Oracle database knowledge a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Masters/MBA a plus
