About the Position
GPM’s Vice President of Sales will provide leadership and direction that will achieve sales goals and company growth. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for the performance of all sales, business development, and account services activities. In this role you will establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base while holding responsibility for enterprise sales and relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Establish strategic direction for sales growth and customer satisfaction in innovative and forward-thinking ways to seek out new markets and customers
- Develop and establish sales business plans, strategy and objectives that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Establish, maintain and expand sales pipeline at all way-points from initial lead through the sale, and the transition through implementation to account management and client satisfaction
- Maintain ownership of all key MRR goals; establish and stay on monthly budget targets.
- Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities
- Define sales processes that drive desired outcomes and identify improvements as required
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
- Develop and grow key customer relationships throughout the entire sales cycle
- Monitor and develop departmental goals and KPIs
- Mentor team members to support personal and professional growth, career goals, performance management, continuing education and recognition
- Conduct regular team member check-ins (1:1 meetings), administer weekly updates, and remove roadblocks to productivity. Maintain accessible, constant, hands-on presence for sales team.
- Design, build, and retain a robust, accountable team to support product and business growth
- Ensure accurate documentation of sales data and records
- Develop and promote best practices for sales, business development and account services projects and deliverables
- Understand departmental financial data and run comparative analysis
- Achieve forecasted sales objectives and adjust sales goals where required
- May negotiate sales agreements, develop proposals, and demonstrate product features before a sale
- Travel for in person meetings and trade shows as needed
- Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of GPM corporate and client Protected Health Information (PHI) data
- Take on other projects and tasks as needed
Who You Are
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business administration or an equivalent number of years’ experience; Master’s degree preferred
- You have 5+ years of proven leadership, proven sales management and the ability to manage and motivate sales teams
- You have 7+ years of exceptional SaaS sales and/or relevant information technology-focused leadership role with extensive hands-on SaaS support
- You possess a deep understanding of the technology and industry-specific requirements necessary to facilitate and drive sales
- You have a solid working knowledge of Saleforce.com
- You can travel as needed in order to meet departmental goals
- You possess excellent interpersonal, telephone, and communication skills
- You thrive in a collaborative environment
- You are comfortable sparking conversation, you naturally build relationships and you confidently close sales
- You have a knack for messaging a complex solution, problem solving, and business analysis
- You’re experienced in driving direct sales in a complex environment
- You possess the ability to effectively handle a variety of situations requiring judgement and poise
- You have a strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environment; long-term care industry knowledge helpful
