Summary/Objective

As VP of Marketing, you will serve as the marketing lead within the organization, overseeing the planning, execution and analysis of all marketing strategy and operations. You will drive opportunity growth and brand awareness among both providers and researchers of B2B software. Additionally, the VP of Marketing serves as the manager of marketing team members, and is responsible for ongoing people management duties.


Essential Functions
:

  • Refine and deliver the fundamental value proposition of TechnologyAdvice, its products and offerings, and its standing within the lead generation marketplace; and build overarching strategy based around those core values.
  • Establish the company’s vision for brand positioning and lead all aspects of the company’s brand development.
  • Serve as a marketing leader to all projects, including scoping, estimation of personnel requirements, budgets and timelines.
  • Establish regular audits of existing marketing activity and processes to find opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure that all marketing activity is aligned to revenue goals, and that individual team members can link the impact of their responsibilities to TechnologyAdvice’s bottom line.
  • Serve as marketing representation at internal and external meetings.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing team projects and reporting on performance.


Management Responsibilities:

  • Uphold all managerial duties, including managing time off requests, weekly performance metrics and overall team accountability.
  • Coach and mentor the marketing team to sharpen their skill sets and specialize in their field, while maintaining focus on fostering a learning and growth environment.
  • Ensure effective communications between marketing and key departments in the business, through collaboration with the Vice President of Sales, Senior Director of Business Operations and Vice President of Technology.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 4 years of leadership responsibility
  • Demonstrable track record of growing company sales pipeline through marketing efforts
  • Experience developing, executing and reporting on overarching marketing strategy, aligning goals with leadership team
  • Outstanding project management capabilities
  • Experience leading a diverse team of marketers, uniting them around common goals and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team
  • Strong familiarity with the B2B software marketing industry and B2B lead generation
  • Mastery of CRM, marketing automation and other martech platforms
  • Comfort in client-facing situations and a customer-first approach to marketing
  • Experience in the following channels and strategies, among others:

    • SEO
    • SEM and paid media
    • Email marketing and nurture marketing
    • Live and Digital Events
