Master Electronics has an exciting career opportunity for a Vice President of Global Distribution and Logistics, reporting to the President of Master Electronics. This position is in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Vice President of Global Distribution and Logistics will direct all warehousing and transportation operations functions in two international 3PL and two main company-staffed distribution centers with over (180) employees in support of the company’s strategic and annual growth plans. This role will have direct P&L responsibilities of assigned locations and will be expected to deliver high productivity and quality customer service with cost-effective mindset. Oversee Warehouse Operations:
- Solicit feedback to identify, develop, and implement standard procedures to improve actual service level attainment (SLA), Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and operational profitability.
- Develop and maintain systematic, analytical, and results-based method for monitoring supplier’s performance and communicate these results to the suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Review performance against operating plans and standards; provides reports to subordinate leaders on interpretation of results and provides direction and ensures follow-through to address issues.
- Lead and facilitate change management in support of organizational goals.
- Create and maintain the appropriate workplace culture and ensures that all facets (e.g., onboarding, compensation, communication channels, recognition & rewards, etc.) reinforce the appropriate job-related behaviors that enable business and customer success
We’re excited if you have:
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience leading teams focused on distribution, logistics, and/or operations (preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior level role (e.g., director, vice president, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
- Previous 3PL outsourced vendor management experience (preferred)
- Previous global leadership role in related field (preferred)
- Previous experience applying process improvement methodology to a service environment (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) (preferred)
- Ability to execute to plan, generate cost and profit improvement
- Demonstrated expertise with vendor negotiations and contract development as evidenced by successful business outcomes
- Ability to successfully leverage proprietary systems (e.g., order entry software, warehouse management systems, etc.)
- Proven analytical, problem solving, problem management, and conceptual skills, including the ability to make valid conclusions from assessing operational and financial data
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and short and long-term operating plans to ensure customer satisfaction
