The Vice President (VP) of Marketing directs and oversees the company’s corporate Marketing organization and their inbound and outbound activities worldwide. The VP will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals; managing a variety of projects end-to-end, ownership of the company intranet, PR and communications to enhance brand equity and awareness. The VP of Marketing will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will oversee internal Marketing teams to drive efforts to position Epiq as a visionary leader. Ultimately, the VP will ensure that the Marketing department’s activities contribute to our company’s long-term success.

The Vice President of Marketing will be a combination of the following:

Executive Stakeholder

  • Understand, contribute to and support the overall evolution of Epiq as a business. Embrace the critical drivers of Epiq, our commitment to the Board, our people, and how Epiq markets itself in the community.
  • Become thoroughly knowledgeable around Epiq’s P&L, budget, forecasts and the intersection of the marketing value proposition with the financial position of the company.
  • Ensure alignment to Vision, Purpose, and Values and the evolution of the culture of the entire company.

Business Unit Partner

  • Establish a working relationship based on personal trust, commitment, and responsiveness with the Business and Function Unit Leaders.
  • Understand each business strategy as well as the company internal PR and communication needs and articulate how the marketing team will support the strategy.
  • Balance the needs of the enterprise and people-related reward systems to ensure Epiq maintains its competitive advantage financially as well as from a talent perspective.

Practice Leader – Utilize deep and broad practice experience to evolve a marketing team across the following critical domains:

  • Strategy – Lead the strategic direction of marketing in alignment with long-term business plans, factoring in market challenges and risks.
  • Best Practices – Effectively apply a unique set of marketing tactics to a broad array of workforce and talent needs.
  • Operations – Ensure processes are adopted by the organization through communication, partnership and training. Continuously evaluate processes and utilize sound metrics to drive improvement.
  • Rewards Stewardship – Lead the organizational focus on marketing, helping to instill a mindset around rewards and recognition that attract and retain top talent for the organization.

S p e c i f i c res p o n s i b ili t i es wil l i nc l u d e:

  • Develop and implement a strategic and cohesive marketing plan to increase corporate brand awareness with continuing analysis of competitors and determine new ways to promote the company’s products, services and offerings to a wide audience. Additionally, the VP will be responsible for the creation of recruiting and promotional materials aimed at promoting Epiq in the community and as an employer of choice.
  • Cross Business Unit Marketing collaboration, and influence of independent Business Unit marketing functional direction.
  • Responsible for all aspects of cross company event management. This includes existing events and relations as well as generating ideas for new events. Management of all aspects of preplanning to post analysis including budget management and troubleshooting any problems that may arise.
  • Ownership of public relations and communications; writing and distribution of press releases and acting as a spokesperson. Ownership of the company intranet driving traffic with engaging on-site content and creation of internal communications for the executive team. This includes creation and delivery of turnkey presentations for meetings. In addition, the VP of Marketing will oversee the management of the external website content.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget and metrics, providing reports on performance of processes and programs and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. Transition business priorities into marketing strategies and tactics in conjunction with other teams to achieve broad financial and strategic goals.
  • Responsible for the management of all marketing automation platforms across all business units.
  • Build and develop and maintain a marketing team which is competent and commercially astute. Additionally, ensuring that the marketing functions are integrated and supported on a timely basis.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive leadership team; collaborating in the strategic planning and change management process to guide the corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for monitoring trends, legislative and business changes for impact on marketing and ensuring legal compliance for global marketing programs.
  • Utilize resources across the globe to drive operational efficiency.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1 0 + y e a rs o f e x p e r i e n ce l e a d i ng marketing teams/practices; professional services industry a plus.
