The Vice President â Application Architecture will play a key role on a new team of architects dedicated to bringing alignment across Fidelity’s technologist community with a single enterprise-wide blueprint, standards and policies. This individual contributor role will own the enterprise-wide technology blueprint, including development, maintenance and governance, adoption of the blueprint, and collaboration across business units. This role can be based in Durham, NC or Boston, MA.
The Team
Application Architecture and Strategic Technology Management is a newly established function focused on Fidelity-wide technology. The group will bring alignment across Fidelity’s technologist community with a single enterprise-wide blueprint, standards and policies. The team will support the firm’s strategic technology portfolio (including recently launched neighborhood efforts) with architectural enablement, program management, and visibility through common reporting. The group will also establish a new technology management strategy and information architecture practice
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelorâs degree preferred
- 10-15 years experience in software development/architecture
The Skills You Bring
- Proven internal and industry technology expertise, including (for example) application development, security, network, business architecture, mobile, infrastructure
- Understanding of financial services technology architecture including brokerage, distribution, manufacturing (AM), and related middle-office systems
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to break down the strategic plan into Agile-based execution
- Facilitate decision-making and prioritization between business unit objectives and enterprise blueprint standards

- Management oversight for centralized architectural resources to be deployed across the organization
- Partnership with data architecture team to ensure alignment for all cross-technology blueprints and strategic decisions
