Job Summary:
Avenue Link is looking for a smart, talented, individual with extensive experience sending large volumes of emails to a customer base using ESPs and or internal technology platforms and servers to drive revenue. The Vice President is responsible for managing a small marketing team and for the creation and growth of revenue and profit through email marketing efforts. The objectives of this position’s role are to ensure the technical, creative, delivery, tracking, testing, analysis, optimization, and strategy are aligned with department expectations to optimize revenue and profit. The Vice President’s primary role will be working with internal tracking software, ESP’s to manage deliveries to customers, as well as day to day management of data feeds with our partners. This will include set up of data feeds and ongoing communications with data partners, as well as ESP communications. The candidate must be a positive leader, technology driven, a quick learner with sound initiative and objective thought processes, and possess the ability to effectively lead and manage a small team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Technical setup with new data partners and ESPs
- Oversee delivery, creative, and analytics. Ensure the ongoing support and development of the team.
- Mentors staff through open communication, training, and helps build processes
- Communication regularly with ESP’s to troubleshoot and optimize email campaign deployment
- Work with IT and oversee projects and scopes
- Configuring data feeds to ESPs and in-house technology
- Work closely with data analyst to review trends and optimize delivery
- Create marketing and testing plans for new ESPs and technologies
- Communication with data partners about various issues
- Research new ESP’s and technologies which can improve email performance
- Keep up to date on market trends and competition
- Seed Testing to validate and verify results
- Analyze results of various tests
- Work with Creative and Content team to ensure smoothness in deliveries
- Evaluate list performance and provide feedback
- Follow best practices for CAN-SPAM
- Work on special projects or project manage projects both within the department and the company
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a 4 year degree
- 5+ years email marketing or marketing automation experience
- 3 years of management experience
- Experience and familiarity working with ESPs
- A high level of proficiency with Excel
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
