Vice President Client Services – Dropbox

The Vice President, Client Services is responsible for driving growth, reaching sales objectives, and driving highly effective sales teams on behalf of MarketStar’s direct sales clients. With your broad strategic direct sales expertise, you will redefine the customer experience, increase client market share, provide best in class touch points for MarketStar’s customers, and develop strategies to deliver new customer acquisition and increased revenue for our clients. Your background will include developing direct sales strategies from enterprise customers to SMB customers, leading sales teams, and managing client relationships. You love interacting with and listening closely to customers, so managing the day-to-day client-specific service/operational deliverables, operational excellence, and quality will be almost effortless!

As the Vice President of Client Services you will be the leader of the direct sales channel for MarketStar, and your team will be responsible for delivering exception sales results for our clients. You will deliver on commitments and expect the same of others. With your deep knowledge of the direct sales channel, you will gain the respect of your team and clients, but it will be your candid and inspirational leadership style that will allow you to leverage creativity and find out-of-the-box solutions. Key Responsibilities & Attributes for Success:

  • Establish and maintain professional executive business relations with clients, distributors, vendors and trade contacts to ensure a high level of service and client satisfaction
  • Oversee the implementation of effective business practices and ensure operational excellence at all levels to further enhance client satisfaction and advocacy
  • Work directly with the Business Development team and other key MarketStar leaders to attract and capture new business, act as lead in driving new revenues and increasing growth within existing accounts
  • Develop and implement effective sales channel and go-to-market strategies to capture attractive market opportunities and drive profitable growth for our clients
  • Develop strategic and tactical goals and objectives, review revenues and costs, and coordinate operations throughout accounts
  • Support key initiatives/partnerships designed to advance MarketStar’s business goals and to bring greater exposure to the MarketStar brand
  • Manage day-to-day Account Management activities, including strategic planning, development and implementation of appropriate direct sales marketing operations
  • Work with senior management, client representatives, and other resources to administer effective marketing strategies, solutions, and policies consistent with established Company-wide goals and initiatives
  • Serve as the company’s primary point-of-contact for direct sales client relations and satisfaction, deliver on client expectations; ensure effective account management, employee performance and productivity
  • Facilitate activities with related department heads and stakeholders, provide leadership to subordinate employees, and ensure client advocacy at all levels of operations
  • Develop management protocols and accountabilities to ensure the timely and thorough execution of sales strategies and ensure coordination and integration with broader corporate goals and objectives
What’s required to be considered?

  • 10 or more years of Direct sales experience with 10+ years’ sales leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales or closely related business field or an equivalent combination of professional, directly related experience and directly related education; MBA preferred
  • Experience managing inside and outside sales teams in direct sales organizations
  • Expertise in the utilization of marketing automation, digital demand generation and social selling into the sales process
  • Proven thought leader in go-to-market strategies, practices, and insights
  • Prior experience in BPO, customer care or B2B marketing agencies
  • Strong understanding of the capture and utilization of data to drive increased sales rep performance and revenue attainment
  • Proven ability to successfully manage sales teams with an emphasis on sales tools, techniques, methodologies and metrics
  • Demonstrated track record of driving consistent lead generation, lead management, sales forecasting, and revenue growth
  • Experience managing profit and loss statements and overall department budgets
  • Proven experience in sales automation, lead generation, CRM, and implementing sales enablement tools
  • Experience leading global and geographically dispersed sales organizations
  • Proven characteristics of a motivated, self-driven leader who leads by example, driving high performance culture in the organization
  • Contract negotiation experience with ability to set performance and execution expectations with clients
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to persuasively present and communicate
  • Excellent work ethic, leadership skills, interpersonal communication, and organizational skill
  • Travel up to 30%, as needed, to support business objectives
