This position requires an executive with proven sales and leadership ability with a successful record of establishing and executing the strategic direction and growing core program areas of an organization with a $20M+ portfolio. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for planning and directing the revenue and fund-raising activities through exhibit sales, sponsorship and educational opportunities within the urologic industry, through AUA members, and the public. We are searching for an agile, innovative leader capable of developing new revenue channels while building strong relationships throughout the urologic community.

Position Highlights

  • Leads sales and fundraising efforts across all appropriate channels including pharmaceutical drug and medical device manufacturers, public, non-Industry Corporations, Foundations and other designated sources.
  • Develops leads and monitors revenue targets and sales goals for AUA and UCF based on strategic planning, budgets and missions.
  • Supports and advises various AUA and UCF leaders and departments on funding opportunities and potential business development opportunities.
  • Meets with industry representatives to discuss products, industry trends, goals and objectives.
  • Serves as an AUA and UCF representative on the Industry, Annual Meeting Program and Strategic Planning Committees (e.g. International Programs, Education, and Annual Meeting).
  • Provides strategic oversight and daily management of staff
    • Managing sales efforts with the pharmaceutical and medical device companies with urology products; with AUA members, and other constituencies.
    • Responsible for corporate and general fundraising through estate planning, major gifts, special events, campaigns, etc.
  • Identifies resource requirements, research-funding sources, and establishes strategies needed to approach donors, submit proposals, and administer fundraising records and documentation with appropriate agencies.

Requirements for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ year’s leadership experience in sales with a successful record of revenue generation, preferably in non-profit and/or medical industry
  • Minimum 10 years’ senior management experience
  • Ability to form partnerships with the urologic industry, medical professionals, and other key constituencies. Knowledge of medical ndustry policies including ACCME, Pharma, Advamed, OIG, etc., preferred
