Dcode is looking for a passionate Tech Scouting Manager to lead the identification and recruitment of technologies for our accelerator programs. In this role, you will engage closely with the tech sector, venture capital, and the innovation ecosystem.
Candidates should have a strong track record of managing people and processes, an understanding of and passion for sales and business development, and sincere passion for the startup community and improving government.
You’ll play a critical leadership role in building our business and offerings as we work to improve the way our government runs and ensure tech companies can successfully work with the federal government.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acceleration Program Outreach

Developing and executing an outreach strategy to identify technologies for our acceleration programming

Presenting and demonstrating the value of of the Dcode programs and services to CEOs and leadership of technology companies and venture capital firms

Establishing relationships with technology companies throughout the application process

Collecting and tracking relevant data on all technologies scouted
Community Building / Tech Scouting

Establish trusted relationships with all prospects and community by developing programming, events, and community education outreach programs

Stay current on tech industry trends that could impact the government
Sales Leadership and Collaboration

Developing sales strategies and setting targets for the tech scouting and engagement teams

Building relationships and processes internally to Dcode to create a seamless customer experience for companies selected for our programs

Identify opportunities to grow Dcode’s business and drive new offerings for existing accounts.
Key Skills

5+ years of experience, preferably including exposure to government and sales

Demonstrated passion for technology, startups, and government.

Ability to learn quickly and establish credibility with senior leaders

The ability to work independently without being closely managed

Organized, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated

Experience managing teams and projects

The drive and energy to ‘do it all’ as an early sales hire at a high-growth company

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
