The Workforce Staffing Global PMO team is seeking an experienced candidate to help drive and lead strategic projects within Workforce Staffing. WW Ops HR is currently executing a portfolio of strategic projects to transform our global field operations. These projects could include operating model transformation, development of standard process and implementation of new tools and technology. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of key project workstreams and drive standard methods and playbooks for future project implementation within the organization.
In this role, you will develop deep expertise in our current and future processes as well as enable technology and our organizational roles and operating model. As projects are executed, this role will lead the development of standards, templates and a method for project implementation to be leveraged in future implementations. This role will also partner extensively with HR, Associate Attraction, Business Intelligence and multiple business lines to deliver solutions to the field. As our current portfolio of projects is implemented, this role will be a leading voice in making informed recommendations on additional projects to be added to the portfolio. The scope for this role is global and has major change leadership responsibilities.
In this role, you will:
Deliver Solutions – Lead the execution of strategic projects within Workforce Staffing. Lead the development of a playbook for strategic project implementation. Collaborate with teams to deliver projects on time with minimal impact to field teams and Operations.
Operational Excellence – Lead the execution of projects with rigor and precision. Develop new methods and to tools to drive repeatable realization of project goals.
Measurement – Develop measures to define progress and ultimate success; establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators for planning and ultimately realizing intended ROIs.
Informed Decisions & Analytics – Leverage existing and develop new methods for business case creation and management. Drive projects based on business case findings and expected outcomes.
Subject Matter Expertise – Develop deep knowledge of core Workforce Staffing delivery processes, advise the business on process requirements and best practices for optimizing the use of lean process and tools made available.
Project Management – Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedule; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
Communication – Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis.
Change Management – Develop change management strategies by identifying key stakeholders, approach, and communication plans for implementation of new processes, technology, and/or tools.
This role can sit in either Nashville, TN or Seattle, WA.
- PMP certification
- Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes globally, ability to drive project effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction in an Amazon business
- Demonstrated project ownership and consistent delivery on commitments – strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
- Well-honed analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings clearly and succinctly, experience establishing and tracking project metrics
- Strategic orientation, able to work with sophisticated financial analyses, assess and mitigate risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and anticipate and navigate scenarios in a complex business environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills – ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assumes leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances – solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
- Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to delight others – ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent employee experience
