What does this role involve?
- Part of the Global Communications Team, the Senior Internal Channels Manager role will use an employee focused and data driven approach to optimise our use of Workplace by Facebook.
- Prioritising what experiences should be invested in based employee and business value. Partnering with Tech to determine how and when new features can be launched; also, prioritise what should be retired.
- Running alpha/beta feature testing, partnering with Tech and Communications, to ensure the changes delivered have a positive impact to help our employees be more productive and engaged.
- Maintaining a thematic product roadmap and work to optimise the interconnectivity and interoperability between and seamless experience across our other critical channels and products.
- Working with stakeholders and delivery teams across GSK to coordinate delivery of new features in a way that inspires employees with impactful communications, basic training and change management.
- Providing guidance and structure for successful uptake and usage of Workplace across the company.
- Given the enterprise use of Workplace and potential features that expand beyond Communications, this role requires strong working relationships both within the Communications function, across other global support functions (e.g. HR, Tech) and our 3 business (Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Consumer).
- The fast evolving outside world requires us to continually review and improve what we do to stay ahead of current trends. A key part of this role will be to horizon scan for solutions and to learn from and share best practice with other companies who are also on a digital and data transformation.
- Responsibility for managing GSK’s relationship with Facebook including our contractual relationship and being integral in influencing product fixes and their product roadmap.
Basic requirements:
- Experience growing a product (ideally SaaS) that relied on a solid user experience for success.
- A user and data driven approach to product management, with experience in valuation of use cases.
- Communications experience and expertise.
- Working cross-collaboratively with, and giving direction to, design and development tech teams.
- Strong history of effective team working and managing matrixed relationships.
- Previous experience in supplier account management.
- Experience in working in a complex organisation going through large scale change.
- Ability to be flexible and open to changing directions and evolving solutions to meet business need.
- Passionate, curious and able to progress a non-traditional approach in a corporate environment.
