Ashford Securities is a wholesaler distributor of retail investment products to the financial services industry (FINRA application pending). Ashford Securities is based in Dallas, TX and is a part of the Ashford Family of Companies (Ashford). Ashford is a 50 + year old, vertically integrated, full service owner, operator, and manager of lodging assets across the United States. Ashford Securities intends to leverage its parent companies lodging expertise into various investment products which will be sold by financial advisors at participating brokerage firms.

Position Summary

A Regional Vice President is responsible for new business development, sales and servicing on-going relationships with financial advisors affiliated with Independent Broker-Dealers and potentially Registered Investment Advisors. This position is best suited for someone who is self-motivated and wishes to be a part of a ground floor opportunity to raise capital from individual investors, while operating within the environment of a well-established and successful public real estate firm.

Essential Functions

· Prospect financial advisors leading to sales of Ashford’s initial and subsequent investment offerings to primarily the IBD and RIA channels.

· Develop brand awareness of Ashford and others within the Ashford family of companies

· Develop a proactive call rotation, conduct face-to-face visits with financial advisors and manage a large geographic territory effectively to drive sales.

· Utilize Salesforce to track all activity and as a territory management tool.

· Manage an expense budget prudently.

· Partner well with an internal wholesaler while providing guidance on territory management and sales messaging.

· Utilize an educational and consultative approach with financial advisors to educate on alternative investments, the lodging sector and the structure of Ashford’s offerings.

· Speak at conferences, regional meetings or investor seminars with financial advisors.

· Work effectively with team members, employ best practices and market the offering in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

· Preferably three+ years of experience in the field as an external wholesaler

· Preferably knowledge of alternative investments and specifically real estate

· Ability to conduct a technical sale while serving as a consultant to financial advisors and centers of influence

· Well-developed prospecting skills

· Strong speaking skills

· Self-motivated and entrepreneurial

· Ability to develop and execute on a territory business plan is essential

· Must operate with integrity and professionalism at all times

· Finra Series 7 required

· Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Ideal Candidate

· Preferably existing relationships with financial advisors in the IBD channel.

· Quantifiable and documented successful history of raising assets, preferably in alternative investments.

· Strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a significant amount of autonomy.

· Ability to build relationships internally and externally to the company.

· Exercise good judgement, prioritize activities appropriately and exhibit a consistently strong work ethic.

· Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)

Compensation

· Base salary

· Commission override on sales
