The Marketo Operations Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Marketing / Email Operations teams in creating, executing and tracking lead nurturing and lead management marketing programs. This is a key role that will work cross-functionally to execute our B2B customer acquisition, expansion & retention strategies.


Key Job Responsibilities:

Impact on the Business:

  • Executional Excellence

    • Work closely with our marketing, sales and merchandising partners to develop and execute Email campaigns using Marketo as the automation platform
    • Manage campaign execution, schedule and deliverables including content, data, and channel with internal and external marketing partners
    • Collaborate with agency partners on nurture campaign creation, including inspiring design for email and landing page templates and messaging themes
    • Leverage events (physical and virtual, where applicable) as a demand generation tactic; assist with pre- and post- event promotion, lead collection and analysis
    • Track effectiveness and optimize campaigns via a closed loop process, from planning and set-up through execution and post-campaign ROI assessment
    • Analyze and report campaign performance
  • Exceptional Coordination
    • Demonstrate detailed thinking and creative problem solving with all stakeholders while executing Email campaigns
    • Assist segment marketers & digital media team with any coordination efforts for integrated digital campaigns across display, social, email and web channels
  • QA for Customer Experience
    • Work under the direction of Manager Marketing/Email Operations to ensure end-to-end smoothest possible customer experience across all programs
    • Execute A/B testing on an ongoing basis, in accordance with the best practice and continuous improvement guidelines set by the Manager of Marketing/Email Operations
    • Ensure all program assets have explicit approvals from the requestors (e.g. segment or category marketers) before getting deployed in production environment
Innovation and Change
  • Manage the creation, optimization and scheduling/deployment of innovative nurture campaigns in our marketing automation platform (Marketo).
  • Conduct A/B testing (creative, subject lines) and report results for nurture optimization.
  • Ability to optimize customer-centric nurture campaigns based on the Buyer’s Journey (SiriusDecisions model) and the path a prospect goes through from awareness, consideration and decision.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisions and reasoning to a broad audience
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, and ability to work confidently across various functional groups within a complex matrixed organization

Qualifications


Education / Experience Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, business or related field
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • Marketing automation knowledge is required


Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Background in B2B customer-centric marketing
  • 2+ years managing marketing-based email /nurturing campaigns
  • Marketo certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisions and reasoning to a broad audience
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, and ability to work confidently across various functional groups within a complex matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to learn new technology applications quickly
