The Role
The ERP Project Manager/Sr Business Analyst â Finance role will be responsible for managing and implementing specified ERP improvement projects, after the Phase 1 ERP go live. This will include gathering, analyzing, & documenting specifications & solutions for projects with focus on the enhancements for use with the newly implemented ERP system. This role holds both Project Management and Functional responsibilities for the ERP system. This position will also directly work with the ERP consulting team to plan and manage projects to enhance business processes, troubleshoot ERP system issues and analyze current business and financial practices. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and excellent communication skills. The ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
Your day-to-day
- ERP Project Management and Functional Responsibilities
- Develop project plan, managing regression testing for D365 upgrade
- Determine and manage scope of enhancement projects and develop project plans, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Ensure that project milestones and goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
- Define and document business processes, data maps, and consult with end users on requirements, functionality, & solutions; and specify system designs, data, workflow, & logical processes to meet organization objectives.
- Manage regression testing for D365 upgrades.
- Perform application configuration & management, project coordination, and identify / evaluate / review innovative technologies for potential solutions; and will perform data extraction & analysis.
- Provide first level support by responding to inquiries from end-users and/or technical staff regarding application, system, & reporting issues, and train end-users and/or technical support staff on software application
- Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, solve, and manage systems problems under time constraints with minimal supervision
- Will assist with providing end-to-end ERP systems support and functionality
- Works closely and collaboratively with the Accounting business groups (O2C, R2R, P2P) to solve business problems related to financial related systems
What you bring to the team
- BA/BS degree in Business Accounting, MBA is desirable.
- Extensive finance business process knowledge from hands-on experience
- 1-3 yearsâ experience with Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management of ERP application implementations.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience implementing financial accounting systems and working with vendors/internal customers to resolve and respond to financial system issues and inquiries.
- Experience in multiple Finance functional areas (e.g. accounting, record-to-report, business intelligence, payroll, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash).
- Experience working with systems that handle sensitive data and with SOX controls and change management processes.
- Track record in working on cross-functional, team projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.
- Experience in prioritizing and managing accounting system projects.
- Develop cases and cost/benefit analysis for management evaluation.
- Oversee security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Drive projects to completion, testing, and acceptance of project results.
