The Project Manager manages and oversees all aspects of the development and implementation of large, highly complex, multi-platform technology initiatives. The Project Manager (1) takes projects from original concept through final implementation by defining project scope and objectives, analyzing project requirements and determining best approach to complete project using existing and/or new approaches, developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, managing the project budget, and developing plans for transition to operations, (2) facilitates cross functional teams within client, customer organizations and vendors, (3) manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables, and (4) collaborates, negotiates and works with others in a matrixed organization.

The successful candidate will have experience in implementing infrastructure projects and driving down to the details to ensure client teams, stakeholders, and customers understand the plan, the activities, and success criteria critical to achieving project success. The successful candidate will be able to clearly articulate the project mission/vision/status while building relationships to gain support and drive the success of the project. Experience using Agile in project is desired.

  • Proficient in obtaining, organizing and analysing data to make fact-based decisions and drive root cause analysis.

Day to Day Project Management:

  • Provides project management and direction to ensure the overall success of Infrastructure Operations initiatives by developing implementation plans including scope, objectives, schedule, deliverables, and success criteria that support initiative goals in collaboration with management and project sponsors.
  • Develops an appropriate implementation plan that focuses on current and future objectives.
  • Proactively manage changes in scope, identifies potential risks, and devises contingency plans.
  • Determines the content of status reports from the team, troubleshoot problem areas and delivers overall progress reports to senior management.
  • Conducts project post-mortem assessments and suggests improvements in process or procedures.

Provides Strategic Project Management:

  • Proactively manage the full life-cycle of the initiative, including overall project plan, scope, change control, risks, issues, impacts, and reporting through standardization and best practice project implementation.
  • Manages issues and proactively escalates critical issues for immediate resolution.

Communication and collaboration

  • Coordinates project related activities for the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting actionable insights to senior management.
  • Communicates with all levels of team and leadership.

Agile practitioner

  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks (scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Understands the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Works with the Scrum team to provide the product owner with technical resolutions based on the submitted requirements.
  • Involved in technical matters thus finding out the gaps and ensuring product owner involvement in business decisions and description of the functional flow.
  • Clearly communicates the difference between Scrum Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Clear understanding of the scrum team’s role and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum tools used for tracking agile projects.
  • Must understand the interrelationships that exist between the automated system and the business processes that it serves.
  • May need to conduct detailed system research and analysis to avoid downstream detrimental effects to the existing system.

  • Project Management/ Program Management: 8 years (Preferred)
