Position Description:
Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power ,oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The staff of approximately 230 are provided a unique environment, where the entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
In this role you’ll be responsible for driving a “Customer First” philosophy throughout the organization. Adhering to Flowserve’s values and business ethics, and Taneytown specific safety standards/guidelines. Embracing and driving a CIP environment & 6S within our team and throughout the organization. Collaborating with team members to resolve any/all commercial & technical issues that arise. Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of projects. Successfully balance the triple constraints of each project managed (Scope, Time, and Cost, while incorporating appropriate quality).
Position Requirements:
Supporting on-site meetings, testing, supervision, and visits, as required Developing a detailed project plans/schedules and monitor/control each though use of critical path methodology. Measure and report project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Enforcing effective change control management practices. Effectively report and escalate key information to management, as needed. Developing the relationship with the client and all associated project stakeholders. Apply risk management techniques regularly, to minimize project risks. Implement lessons learned from current/past projects and share best practices with team members. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Requirements:

BS in Engineering

Ability to successfully work in a team oriented and CIP environment

Solid problem solving background

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project
Preferences:
-
Up to 5 years of industry related experience preferred

Experience with rotating equipment industry highly preferred
-
PMP / IPMA certification is a plus
-
Ability to speak Spanish, German, Portuguese or Korean is a plus
-
Experience related to process and instrumentation is a plus
