Job Summary:
The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific small-medium size short-term projects that are part of a bigger program or project.
The Project Manager typically report to a Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, Director of Programs, or Product Line Director.
Job duties:

- Work with Program Manager to establish work package baseline scope, cost & schedule
- Identifies and updates performance metrics. Analyzes variance to determine & implement corrective actions. Implements earn value management on development projects
- Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the program
- Identifies work package risk (quantitative and qualitative), establishes mitigation plans & drives mitigation actions
- Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies productivity and lessons learned
- Provides project leadership to ensure high quality work package deliverables are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor problem solving and ensure root cause corrective action and recovery plan is defined & executed
- Assist in the estimate fiscal year budgeting & business case process
- Assists in the creation of the project management plan
- Ensure previous lessons learned are incorporated into work package planning and control
- Develop and maintain project charter and work package description sheet(s)
- Analyze propose and document project/work package changes. Develop change packages, as needed for program change control board review/approval.
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Compilation of and publication of visual metrics, presentations and reports. Internal reporting, including project review presentations
- Adherence to non-recurring costs and recurring cost elements
- Other duties maybe assigned
Job requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree plus typically 4 years of related work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related work experience required.
Other Skills: Proficient with MS Project, competent with MS Office programs. Previous experience in planning or managing projects, as well as, the ability to develop, lead, motivate working teams. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required):
- PMP certification is a plus.
