About the role

The Global Petroleum Delivery team is responsible for managing all Technology projects across the Petroleum value chain. It encompasses a wide range of disciplines including Infrastructure, Applications, and Data Management along with data science. The team is accountable for all aspects of the project management process, consistent delivery practices. We work closely with the business sponsors to ensure requirements and objectives are understood and properly executed so business value is obtained.

The team is made up of a diverse group of people from a wide range of backgrounds and skills. To build on our success from previous experiences in and outside of BHP, we offer each other peer-support and actively participate in sharing of knowledge/skills. We value collaboration and teamwork.

In this role you will:

• Manage the successful delivery of medium to large Technology Projects to the Petroleum asset (business unit), ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with Petroleum and BHP standards, using pre-defined project methodology, templates, and tools.

• Utilize capabilities like risk management, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, managing change across a several projects

• Add value through the ability to lead and manage projects in varied and different settings and environments

• Seizes opportunities to solve problems, satisfy customer requirements, improve results, generate innovative solutions

• Demonstrates willingness to adapt new practices or roles

About you:

You will have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering/Math/Science Discipline, or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Computer Science. You will have a proven project management track record with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of project complexity and responsibilities (i.e. preferably in petroleum / mining industry with IT Operational experience). Preferably, you have demonstrated your commitment to the project management practices by obtaining a PMI/Prince certification.

Salary: $99,200.00 to $124,000.00 /year
