What is the opportunity?
As project manager within the PMO & Portfolio Governance team you will be responsible for planning, leading, and reporting on various business and IT related projects. The role supports the Director PMO & Portfolio Governance with various other activities to support our growth strategy, and acts as project manager for a variety of cross segment projects.
What will you do?
- Work closely with all suppliers to coordinate project timelines and budget
- Facilitates the application of the scrum ceremonies among the Agile team and removes impediments
- Planning initiative execution tasks through to implementation
- Manages change that increases the productivity of the team
- Responsible for project plan, scope, and budget of assigned initiatives
- Responsible to manage and communicate the status and progress of assigned initiatives according to the program governance
- Manages risks and issues with appropriate escalation as needed
- Ability to effectively communicate how the project is doing in relation to plan (may be at an executive level)
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Strong organizational skills demonstrated on a range of business projects
- Experience of leading collaboration across multiple functions, locations and businesses
- Experience of full project life cycle on end-to-end projects
- Effective facilitator between business and IT teams
- Experience within the banking industry
- Previous experience of business analysis
- Degree level education
Nice-to-have
- Experience within the banking industry
- Agile and other PM certifications
