What is the opportunity?

As project manager within the PMO & Portfolio Governance team you will be responsible for planning, leading, and reporting on various business and IT related projects. The role supports the Director PMO & Portfolio Governance with various other activities to support our growth strategy, and acts as project manager for a variety of cross segment projects.


What will you do?

  • Work closely with all suppliers to coordinate project timelines and budget
  • Facilitates the application of the scrum ceremonies among the Agile team and removes impediments
  • Planning initiative execution tasks through to implementation
  • Manages change that increases the productivity of the team
  • Responsible for project plan, scope, and budget of assigned initiatives
  • Responsible to manage and communicate the status and progress of assigned initiatives according to the program governance
  • Manages risks and issues with appropriate escalation as needed
  • Ability to effectively communicate how the project is doing in relation to plan (may be at an executive level)


What do you need to succeed?


Must-have

  • Strong organizational skills demonstrated on a range of business projects
  • Experience of leading collaboration across multiple functions, locations and businesses
  • Experience of full project life cycle on end-to-end projects
  • Effective facilitator between business and IT teams
  • Experience within the banking industry
  • Previous experience of business analysis
  • Degree level education


Nice-to-have

  • Experience within the banking industry
  • Agile and other PM certifications
