We seek to add a full time manufacturing project manager (PM) to our team of structural steel professionals. The project manager’s duties include oversight of multiple ongoing steel projects, daily communications with steel detailers, general contractors, structural engineers and the steel erector. The PM attends job site meetings, reviews contract and shop drawings, issues RFI’s and change orders as needed, provides scope-of-work takeoffs and pricing, helps coordinate deliveries and erection schedules, sequences jobs to ensure the right material is on location when needed, and negotiates/problem-solves in the field. This job is for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment. Familiarity with steel and construction terms is necessary. Candidate should be comfortable and confident in a commercial construction environment. Compensation is in alignment with qualifications and work experience. Experience:
- Project management: 5 years experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of site safety
Skills Required:
- 10 years on-site construction experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Organization of details with multiple projects at once
- Personable, helpful, and can-do attitude
- Familiar with operating computer programs such as Quickbooks, Excel, Outlook, Word, and other basic programs as needed/required
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Formal project management training highly desired
