Basic qualifications
- 15+ years of experiences in user experience
- 10+ years management experience
- A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating human-centered design solutions and showing your ability to turn ideas into a strong and unique creative vision.
- Strong command of interaction design, information architecture, patterns and common controls.
- Strong written and verbal communications. Proven ability to develop and evangelize product vision.
- Experience creatively solving hard problems across complex projects with aggressive deadlines.
- Proven ability to drive complex design solutions across large organizations and disciplines.
- Experience designing for a variety of form factors including: iOS, Android, Tablet and desktop
- Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- BA or MS in visual or graphic design, HCI, interaction design, or related field.

Using a diverse set of data including user research, customer service, and behavioral data from millions of customers shopping every day worldwide, you’ll lead your team to see around corners, identifying the next set of simplifications and innovations to keep Amazon at the forefront of customer satisfaction for delivery. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional group of engineers, product managers, research scientists, designers, and executives to propose and drive customer-focused innovation using the latest technology in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and mobile and web technology to drive impact to millions of customers around the world.

Responsibilities
- Own the user experience design for Amazon delivery experience worldwide across platforms.
- Drive design from initial concept through final implementation.
- Clearly and persuasively communicate, specify, and describe design concepts, solutions, and needs to senior executives.
- Build and develop a team that excels in all aspects of design including interaction design, visual design, concept development, and user research.
- Understand how to advocate for customers and integrate user research into the product development process.
- Illustrate design direction through excellent communication and storytelling.
- Build respect and credibility with stakeholders, direct reports, other management, and executives.
- Lead an org that works collaboratively as equal owners with product management and engineering to create amazing user experiences that delight customers.
- Contribute to, and curate, the group’s best practices for UX design.
