Position Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for working with stakeholders to develop strategy and then oversee the entire product design/build/delivery/measure life cycle. As a Project manager for IT projects, this person will develop and oversee the technical implementation process beginning to end, which includes requirements gathering/process mapping and improvement, assistance in vendor selection and development/management of project scope, stakeholders, budget, timeline, project close-out and team.


Position Functions and Responsibilities


Project Management

  • Is accountable for budgets and timelines and has a proven ability to think strategically, innovate, and develop tactical execution plans to drive success
  • Create/manage master project plans, document requirements, and see a project through to successful completion supporting numerous operational positions and stakeholders
  • Has solid organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of time-sensitive tasks and projects
  • Perform effectively as a team member, collaborate with different cross-functional teams and can work independently in the pursuit of company objectives

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
  • PMP or similar certification is desirable, but not required


Experience

  • Project/product experience with all facets of technology including: SASS application implementation, desktop/web/app software design/development
  • Ideally has worked in the HealthCare tech space with multiple EMR’s, back office systems.
  • Has experience in the entire product build cycle including customer feedback, identification of urgent and pervasive problems, and creation of actionable requirements for developers.
  • Has worked with different project management structures from waterfall to agile, scrum, etc.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong technical understanding and ability to think through solutions to problems in a creative way utilizing technology
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and time-management skills
  • Ability to see the big picture and align projects to company goals
  • Attention to detail and the ability to navigate through ambiguity to find a solution
  • Effective communication skills to work across the organization and outside parties from strategy through execution
  • Has worked with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create and deliver functional solutions on schedule.
  • Use win/loss analysis and customer sentiment to continue iterative product improvement.
  • Strong work ethic combined with a “team-first” mentality
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to drive multiple projects forward at once
  • Follow-up with tasks and ensure completion
  • Develop a strong risk management plan to ensure project is successful
