Position Overview

Providing hands on leadership and guidance to The Americas Tech Support & Infrastructure teams, this role is responsible for the day to day IT operations within the America’s region. All aspects of IT Operations are within scope, including but not limited to Tech Support, IP networks and telephony systems, server infrastructure, SAN infrastructure, VMware virtual environments, backups and restores, etc.
Key focus will be on creating and ensuring a positive, enjoyable experience for our end users and business partners throughout the organization.

This is a hands-on role and it is necessary for the incumbent to be technically competent as well as possessing excellent leadership skills in a day to day as well as a project focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the IT Leadership, provide leadership and guidance to the Tech Support and IT Infrastructure teams located within the America’s region.
  • Strong focus on the end user experience and providing high quality solutions and service to our end users and business partners.
  • Conduct regular 1×1 meetings with each direct report to discuss performance, improvements, projects, etc. and perform annual performance reviews.
  • Managing daily operations including analyzing workflow, developing standards and procedures, ensuring projects are progressing, and all aspects of the smooth running, regular maintenance and periodic upgrades of all aspects of the IT infrastructure that serve the Americas geographies with the end user experience at the forefront of all that we do.
  • Responsible for the optimal configuration and reliability of global network operations. Working closely with the IT Managers in other regions to ensure optimal operations of all network infrastructure and related services.
  • Responsibility for the security of all Americas based systems and solutions and working very closely with the other IT Managers to ensure global solutions and services are operating optimally.
  • Working closely with the audit and compliance teams to ensure that all regulatory and compliance obligations are met and, in most cases, that our compliance comfortably exceeds the minimum required standard.
  • Maintain Helpdesk ticketing system documenting all incidents and changes along with associated documentation. Creating processes and documentation where needed.
  • Managing daily operations including analyzing workflow, developing standards and procedures, ensuring projects are progressing, creating budgets, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 15 years + of IT Operations experience with at least 7 years of management and leadership experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud services – Office 365 & Azure specifically.
  • Strong virtualization knowledge and experience – VMware.
  • Solid knowledge of networking principles and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco networking products and solutions (ASA firewalls, Catalyst switches, Meraki MX/Switches/Access Points).
  • Able to demonstrate leadership experience in within multiple projects where a leadership role was fulfilled.
  • Excellent communicator with people of all levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge and experience of the creation of processes and procedures based upon ITIL best practices.
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a global team and environment is desirable.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
