The SSGM FX Collateral team supports the Global Markets FX Sales & Trading business by fulfilling daily margining requirements. This role is to lead the Boston based team which primarily oversees the daily processing work completed by our India based colleagues. We also have teams in EMEA and APAC that we work closely with. As a leader of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring all daily work is completed, controls are in place and adhered to, and issues are escalated. You will also become an expert in our regulatory requirements and play a key role in ensuring they are met. There is a significant strategic/project component to the role which requires varying levels of participation in and leadership of projects that will advance our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Lead a team currently consisting of 3 Senior Associate staff. Drive staff development and engagement.
  • Oversee and support execution of daily tasks by India team.
  • Develop a robust knowledge of all team processes and controls. Ensure they are adequate and met at all times.
  • Assist senior management with executing on strategic vision for the team.
  • Initiate and lead projects that will advance the team in aspects such innovation, efficiency and risk excellence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Collateral and FX related projects spanning across Global Markets product lines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience required. Collateral Management and/or FX experience is desirable but not absolutely necessary. Experience with State Street systems and a background in processing, settlements, and/or derivatives is a plus.

The ability to initiate, manage, and see projects through to completion is a must.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and be comfortable running a team, delegating, and thinking strategically.

This role requires significant active participation and leadership of meetings both in person and on the phone.

A strong technical acumen is highly desirable. You will be required to develop in depth knowledge/expertise of multiple systems/platforms and assist with the implementation of new technology.
