POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Plans, directs, and coordinate activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Supervise other personnel assigned within the production department to ensure assigned
contracted works is produced in a timely fashion, in accordance with our contracts, company policies and procedures and with and end result for the department of a positive gross profit.
Organize and follow through with plan from submission process to take off and orders to
installations of work.
Communicate with project team, vendors and the G.C. so everyone understands plan through material orders, scheduled delivery; installation and completion of project.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/TASKS:
– Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame funding limitations, procedures
for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to
various phases of the project.
– Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for
recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
– Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and
scope of authority.
– Directs and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on
schedule and within prescribed budget.
– Review status report prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as
required.
– Prepared project reports for management, client, or others.
– Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
– Coordinate projects activities with activities of government regulatory or other
governmental agencies.
– Assist sales department with additional input or detailing
– Work with superintendent and field foreman to ensure installation quality
– Review job for material and labor- actual buy-out costs.
– Submits engineering: product data sheets and physical samples.
– Review engineering submittals for accuracy.
– Take-off materials to be bought out.
– Buy-out all materials at or below estimate.
–  Follow-up on deliveries- constantly weekly/daily.
– Provide as much information to the field as possible
a) Glass labeled on elevation
b) Complete installation instructions
– Keep good and frequent communication with General Contractor.
– Quote profitable and timely change orders.
– Invoice job accurately as possible with balanced profit throughout.
– Submit closeout documentation. ASAP at end of job.
– Enact job as punch list free as possible by starting this process as soon as possible.
– Oversee progress of work in field
a) Review labor reports often
b) Weekly visits to job to track progress
c) Daily verbal contact with field foreman at end of his day
d) Encourage, compliment and support field crew
– Complete invoices to clients, future billing projections and cost deviation reports on time
– Other duties may be assigned.

JOB METRICS:
– Manage minimum volume of average billings of $225,000/month (Go for
$300,000/month).
– Projects results equal to or greater than estimated profits (Go for 10% above).
– Purchase materials with result of total material costs 5% less than estimated (Go for
15%).
– Manage projects so warranty costs do not exceed ½ % (Go for 0%).
– Submit monthly billing information, future billing projections and costs deviation reports
on or before due date.
– Complete actual monthly billings at or better than projection from prior month (Go for
10% above).
– Visit each jobsite for assigned projects each week and communicate with GC project
manager.
– Receive no back charges or penalties for HCG for not being on schedule.
– Always receive a changer order or written authorization from GC with agreed upon price
or T;M, prior to starting extra work.

KEY EXPECTATIONS:
– Language Skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
– Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
– Ability to speak effectively before groups or clients or employees of the organization.
– Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral,
written or diagram form.
–  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of personnel assigned to
his/her supervisor. Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employee’s
addressing complaints and responding.

KEY CRITERIA/REQUIREMENTS:
– High School diploma or equivalent.
– Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) form a four-year college or university: or one of two related
experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
– Required Licenses/Certifications/Other Requirements
– Possess a valid driver’s license free of any serious traffic related infractions.
– Minimum 5 year of Glass and Glazing experience
