PRIMARY FUNCTION:: Provide overall support for Project Managers. Assist in preparation of schedules and expediting materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure timely completion of worksite activities. This position is used as training for project manager position.

TYPICAL DUTIES:: Obtain submittals from suppliers and subcontractors and process all submittals (technical data, samples, shop drawings, test reports and certifications) required by the Contract Documents between the Owner and the Contractor. Review submittals for compliance with the Contract Documents and process to Design Engineers for review and approval. Monitor daily construction production activities for material and labor costs and prepare reports for Project Manager and/or Division Manager review. Review Contract Documents for conflicts identified by M. B. Kahn’s work force, Subcontractors and suppliers, and obtain resolution of such conflicts from Design Engineer. Maintain records and minutes of job site meetings. Work with project manager to approve material invoice payments. Assist in preparing and updating project progress schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:: Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, plus 2-3 years experience in supervisory or equivalent experience. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); ability to implement and follow Company policies, procedures, and standards is essential. Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills required.

COMMENTS:: Travel may be required based on project location. Reports to Division Manager. Individuals applying for this position should be able to multi task and work in a fast paced work environment. Pay commensurate with experience.
