Job Summary

Develop and deliver on operational excellence and drive strong member support activities for the Archimedes Center for Medical Device Security at the University of Michigan. Archimedes is a non-profit organization with members from the medical device manufacturing and HealthCare provider ranks whose goal is to educate and raise awareness about the security and safety of medical devices.

Working closely with the Executive Director, carry out essential operational tasks, continually develop improved processes and tools to enhance operations, and maintain and continually improve member services and support. Expand the visibility and impact of Archimedes via its members both nationally and internationally.

This position is 25-hours per week. The posted salary range is based on full-time (40 hour per week) employment.

Responsibilities*

Provide primary execution of, and/or backup support of, all necessary operational tasks and processes to support day-to-day and strategic operations of the Archimedes center. These tasks include but are not limited to:

Leverage and maintain the CRM system to manage and expand relationships with new and existing contacts, business partners, agencies and opportunities.

Respond to inquiries, issues, questions related to Archimedes from outsiders or employees of member companies, or other various sources.

Processing invoices and incoming payments from members, event sponsors or other partners.

Processing purchases and payments by Archimedes.

Support the Archimedes website and social media by creating and finding new material to keep it relevant, functional and interesting to the public.

Renew existing memberships including tracking and processing of payments.

Provide support for improving operations, defining new processes, resolving complex problems of all kinds, improving the financial standing of Archimedes and eliminating inefficiencies.

Assist or be responsible for any and all necessary steps related to Archimedes events before, during and after the event.

Stay personally educated and increase industry understanding through educational opportunities, monitoring the news and noting industry/member changes.

Be the primary contact, leader and and Archimedes representative for members, potential new members and sponsors.

Continuously deliver on and expand services and offerings to member companies that add more value to an Archimedes membership.

Seek out, develop and foster new and ongoing strong and productive relationships with executives of member companies, providing the highest level of support possible.

Improve ways to offer better information sharing and with members via newsletters, email, social media and personal contact.

Work with medical device manufacturers, healthcare providers, and other contacts to recruit and sign up new member companies.

Provide information and support for new members to become fully integrated.

Develop and deliver on arrangements and events with partner groups that are of interest to members and regular conference attendees.

Use and maintain the Archimedes website to keep it updated with timely and relevant content for members. Seek out and work with executives from Archimedes event sponsors to provide information and resources, maintain strong working relationships, work with them during events, and to collect sponsor payments.

Seek out and communicate with executives of potential companies that may have interest in Archimedes event sponsorships.

Required Qualifications*

Reside in Minneapolis/St. Paul. MN area to facilitate direct interactions with Executive Director and Archimedes member companies. This position will be working remotely from home.

Demonstrated strong experience with developing and executing member relationships.

Demonstrated ability to deliver effective communication through various channels.

Demonstrated and proficient skills and experience multiple social media platforms, website development, as well as CRM systems.

Ability to work remotely effectively and within a very small group.

Positive attitude with great customer interface skills.

Hold and maintain legal work authorization in the United States.

Able to pass background screening.

Additional Information

Archimedes is a function at the University of Michigan and this position will be employed by the University. This is a regular part-time role that may expand based on need and performance.
