PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Manages, develops and directs all aspects of the FKC skilled nursing facility (SNF) and sub-acute care business on a national scale including defining the business model and growing the programs, patient census and economic performance, through effective leadership and management of all aspects of customer service, quality patient care, operations, growth and marketing of FKC therapy and programs. Develops and directs SNF strategies and initiatives for the FKC divisions and coordinates and directs the national implementation of named initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides strategic leadership of overall objectives and management of the FKC SNF and sub-acute care program which may include but is not limited to:

Developing, implementing and managing growth strategies to ensure continued growth and development of programs.

Developing, implementing and updating the policies and procedures for the programs to ensure proper operational compliance, efficiency and program effectiveness.

Collaborating with the Medical Office on physician training and programs implementation.

Providing the appropriate support and information for new start-ups supported by in FMCNA clinics.

Developing, implementing and updating policies and procedures required to support the Programs.

Presenting key initiatives to stakeholders and industry leaders to drive FMCNA Initiatives.

Cultivates and maintains key partnerships with external nursing home, rehabilitation, or other sub-acute care partners, whether through JV, operating agreement, or other relationship models.

Analyzes and assesses current FMCNA structure and programs, identifying areas for improvements, researching and determining improvement options and implementing improvements.

Collaborates Group/Regional management by:
-
Assisting, empowering and preparing them to meet with potential SNF partners and referral sources as needed to present the FKC vision and strategy.

Coordinating with operations teams on a continual basis to achieve a consistent vision and approach to business and to ensure effective operations and coordination at field, division and corporate levels.

Researches and analyzes trends, internal and external, and competitor models.

Acts as the subject matter expert regarding sub-acute care dialysis being a resource for the FKC operations.

Educates, updates, and provides pertinent information to physicians, FKC Leadership and other personnel as needed regarding the company’s direction and vision in sub-acute care.

Collaborates with the Marketing to determine and implement marketing and promotion actions and strategies.

Coordinates with Billing and Compliance in regard to the company’s billing practices in this segment.

Drives and supports quality standards by guiding the company in meeting all ESRD regulatory requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement. Defines and executes programs to demonstrate clinical value, whether through internal FKC data or in collaboration with payors, HHS, or CMS

Implements best practices throughout the company for outstanding quality of patient care through collaboration with various positions throughout the organization.

Coordinates implementation of Corporate initiatives through collaboration with FKC Division and Field Management and Field Clinical Services.

Collaborates with the Education department, and manages and approves vendor training materials, to ensure employees are trained according to policy and are competent in the operation of Home Therapies.

Oversees company compliance with all data collections and auditing activities in regard to our business and programs in this segment.

Directs the sub-acute care IT initiatives. Collaborates with IT team on the deployments, improvements and staff training related to business programs, applications and technologies.

Ensures that budgets and schedules are within company requirements with significant organizational responsibility for the overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priority management, and the recommendation and implementation of current practices.

Provides leadership, guidance and coaching to all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partnering with Human Resources on employee relations issues.

Collaborates with employees in the establishment of clear and concise development plans to ensure succession planning and the advancement of future leaders within the organization.

Oversees related business projects to provide quantifiable analytics to inform on market trends.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
-
Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
-
5+ years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and business experience leading $100 million+ service line directly or in matrixed structure.
-
5+ years’ experience internal senior management level role (e.g., Vice President); or 5+ years’ external experience in a senior management level role.
-
Extensive, in-depth human capital management experience required.
-
Experience developing and implementing strategies for complex businesses with proven results.
-
Proven ability to deliver results working with individuals of all levels within a complex matrixed environment.
-
Must be a strategic thinker with sound business acumen, analytical and financial skills.
-
Relevant healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
-
Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.

Comfortable in rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities.
