The Vice President, Development and Donor Engagement oversees and manages the organizations’ fundraising strategy, development and execution; guides the implementation of a resource development and community relations program for the agency; oversees the Community Development program and the Communication and Public Relations department. Working within the agency’s established goals and objectives, the Vice President of Development and Donor Engagement provides staff support to the agency’s Board of Directors and is part of the agency’s Executive Leadership Team.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or fundraising fields; Master’s degree desirable.
2. At least 5 years fundraising and development experience in progressively responsible leadership positions with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing operational and performance outcomes
3. Verified track record of meeting or exceeding measurable fundraising goals in a medium to large, fast-paced nonprofit environment
4. Experience in the use of social media and social networking (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, website) to communicate with donors, generate revenue, educate the public and broadcast mission
5. Proficiency with fundraising applications, donor management systems, and marketing analysis, (e.g. Google analytics) and using available data to perform comprehensive donor data analysis and reporting, with a strong understanding of data utilization and management, as well as the effective use of fundraising technology and data for strategic operations and decision making.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
7. Demonstrated skills in planning, task and time management, delegation, and oversight of others’ work.
8. Fluent in English (read, write, and speak) required and Spanish (desirable).
