About this role

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. seeks Vice President, Data Engineer, APG-SITE-Data Services in San Francisco, CA to work on low latency caches for security and market data that involves Java, Unix and Python knowledge as well as service and API orientated design. Req’s: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field of study and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: performing data modeling and query optimization for transactional and analytical schemas; coordinating asynchronous workloads across multiple components in a complex system; developing automated unit and integration tests including advanced mocking frameworks; working with distributed systems with strict latency, uptime, and throughput requirements; and utilizing Java application performance management tools including concurrent design patterns, heap management, and garbage collector optimization.
