Are you passionate about helping others? Trillium Health Resources is seeking a collaborative and innovative professional to serve as the Unit Director of our Neighborhood Connections team. Trillium is a growing organization that has been addressing healthy opportunities in our communities for years. We focus on housing, employment, community inclusion, and more through our work with other local agencies around Eastern North Carolina. Trillium coordinates services for members with mental health, substance use, and intellectual/developmental disabilities in our 26 counties. We are designed to serve the complex needs of children and adults locally.

The Neighborhood Connections Unit Director role will lead grassroots solutions for community development while overseeing each of Trillium’s three regions; Central, Northern, and Southern. The Unit Director will:

  • Spearhead efforts to address food insecurity, employment challenges, community inclusion, healthy living, transportation, crisis solutions, and disaster response.
  • Oversee the Housing Department to address housing-related challenges.
  • Develop and implement training curriculums and voucher programs in response to community needs.
  • Serve as head of the department and supervises three regional managers who direct health specialists and a team of care management coordinators for Assistive Technology Equipment and Supplies, Residential Services, and management of the Registry of Unmet Needs.

The Neighborhood Connections Department maintains relationships with local agencies and community supports offering resources related to social determinants of health (SDoH); leads in-person orientations for new Trillium members; provides information to members on resources available to pay for food, transportation, employment training, and chances for social integration; coordinates and promotes activities such as cooking classes, neighborhood walks, new parent classes, and more to increase awareness and involvement among members.

Education: 4 year Degree in Human Services OR related field required. Master degree in related field a plus, but not required.

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in program development and/or program management. Prefer two (2) years supervisory experience. Must reside in Trillium Catchment Area. Prefer delivery of MH/SU/DD services experience and Community Development experience. Prefer experience related to disaster response role in a managed care setting.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
