RES is seeking a qualified Sr. Analytics Manager to fill two primary needs:
· Management and operation of an established online GIS-based analytics portal for RES clients, including client onboarding, maintenance, and ongoing management. Candidate will not be involved in coding, web development or technical aspects of the portal, but knowledge in these areas would be considered beneficial
· Support in executing independent GIS-based analytics consulting projects for clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to determine client needs, develop analytical solutions, deliver results, and maintain follow through on multiple projects with strong customer service skills.
A multidisciplinary background is ideal. This should include above average to excellent GIS competency and experience augmented with Business Management and/or Program Management experience. Job requirements include both customer facing and internal analytics components. Actual location of the candidate is flexible across the nation, with Birmingham, AL being ideal.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage RES’ online analytics portal as a whole and across multiple client accounts
· Provide GIS and data analytics support for specific client projects and deliverables across lifecycle
· Interact with clients and demonstrate flexibility to customize analytics and drive innovative solutions
· Engage with clients in support of analytics and portal, including training & education, problem resolution, and general relationship management
· Ability to interpret and communicate key findings from complex data sets to leadership and clients
· Perform as an engaging, thought provoking, driven team member – working to push RES to the next level for the benefit of our clients and our own internal teams
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
· College degree (GIS oriented) desired with 2+ years related experience. Masters or PhD is ideal
· Business Management, MBA, or other degrees acceptable if demonstrated with prior GIS experience
· Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS & ArcGIS extensions, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal
· Moderate to advanced proficiency in data management & manipulation via Excel, Alteryx or others
· Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other essential office applications
· Self-motivated and directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Possess strong and professional oral and written communication skills
· Must be multi-task oriented and possess excellent problem solving skills
· Ability to coordinate a multitude of tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Mental alertness, at times requires critical thinking under stressful situations.
· Ability to handle stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
· Ability to demonstrate a calm demeanor and project a positive attitude.
